Fashion Influences In Daily Life

Whether it be a measure of social beliefs or modern development, fashion has always been a big part of our life. From amateurs to professionals within the field itself, individuals all over the place have, in fact, used this convention to convey a myriad of factors.
Take, for instance, how for a long period of time, people have curated creative fashion statements through their style to fit a message they wanted to carry out to their target audience. Or, when looked at centuries ago, how a person’s sense of dressing defined their class in society. Whatever it may be, the way we perceive fashion defines in what manner it has impacted us as the individuals we are.

“Fashion is a reflection of who we are and how we want people to see us, put all on display by the clothes we choose to wear,” says designer Maha Lakshmi. Historically related to an individual’s personality, the idea of using fashion as a means of representing oneself gives a general idea of what the person is thinking of and minimises his or her personality as well.
In one way or another, it is simple — and reflects in our appearance, manners and characteristics. Fashion can as well be used as a way to let loose and experiment. “Apparel can be a form of entertainment to release stress and, at times, anxiety,” Maha Lakshmi says. Trying on a garment you feel comfortable in or even dressing up to divert your mind from something unpleasant, otherwise, can change your entire day’s mood.

Nowadays, fashion has become a constantly evolving trend – one that has definitely affected our day-to-day life. Though it can, sometimes, be seen as a reflection of everyone’s expectation of what should be shown, ultimately, fashion is a reflection of one’s inner self. Nonetheless, it is necessary to say that at the present moment, fashion serves a deeper influence on the life of people and possesses more than just ambition as a reason for its existence.
